***Hah-Hah. Surprise. ;O) I know alot of you weren't expecting this. But you should know by now how impulsive I am. And do to the curiosity of so many, regarding the blackberry pictures, and making the dumplings, I figured, "What the heck. Why not show my friends as I made them! This was during a five hour period. It takes two hours just for the berries to cook! A long process. . .but so worth it in the end.
***When I bring this dessert to get-togethers. . .it always disappears! People love this stuff. It's always a major dish this time of the year.

I wanted to share the tradition with my friends. Enjoy guys!

Oh my. You have different measurements than we do. Maybe a conversion chart? That should help. And you should be able to buy yellow cake mix anywhere. And yes. . .I think it's vanilla. Anyhow, you can do this with other berries too. I know people have used blueberries or strawberries. Let me know how it turns out. :)

The berries cook down into a glaze. That's why. Trust me, that and the sugar, it works out perfectly. :) Hope it does. Let me know.

I think I scorched the glaze, plus, my cake mix must have been different from what you use, becuase it just didn't happen for me ;P
But, I shall try again, and substitue the cake mix :D

Hey it's ok. BTW. Sugar does scorch. You have to cook it on a medium to low fire. If it's too hot, you can smell it. lol.
