Well you requested more B.B. Rae art. And I figured that the timing couldn't have been more perfect. This is for all you people who had a problem with Rae's snarky behavior toward B.B. in the T.T. movie, Trouble in Tokyo. Some of you mentioned that she acted more like a mother. And THIS came to mind.

*****Do you guys remember the T.T. episode Haunted? Where B.B. caught a bad cold because he was chasing after Robin in the rain? Well. . .As a writer, I always had my own ending to that story. Seriously. With him not stopping to take care of himself, and having the low immunity due to his close call in the past, the cold rapidly worsens, and turns into a severe case of the flu. At the end of the episode where he throws himself on the gurney in a fit of sneezing, I pictured that he felt so bad that he stayed there. Not having the energy to even go to his room.And Raven, although laughing with Starfire over the way he animal morphed from every sneeze, noticed his sudden decline in enthusiasm. . .and his QUITE disposition, and decided to check his temp. She is shocked to find that it's spiked up to 104F.
When Robin finds out, he suggests that B.B. remain there, where he could be watched over. Well aware of his medical history, Robin doesn't want B's illness to deteriorate into possible pneumonia. Realizing how serious this really was, Raven begins to worry about him. I think she truly would. And through the spaciness of his fever, B.B.'s delighted to notice how she keeps checking up on him, taking his temp every hour or so. . .
Although completely miserable, B.B's so happy to have Raven giving him this kind of attention. And Raven, well. . .she does get some mixed feelings. Wouldn't you?

*****Picture this. . . .
While he's in a light twilight sleep, Raven could find herself staring down at him.
Wondering, and thinking to herself, "I know you're sick. . .but why can't you be like this all the time?" (She means his quite, more serious demeanor.) As he moaned and drifted off again, her head slowly shook, "If you were. . .maybe things would be a little different." Now she bent forward and put a cool cloth over his forehead. The coolness caused him to stir a bit.
Silently she watched as his eyes slowly opened, and he stared up at her in a daze. Grabbing the thermometer, she shook it then gently shoved it in his mouth. "Let's see if that temperature went down a little."
As she silently waited for about a minute, Beastboy let out a weak sigh.
"I'm sorry. . .Raven. . ." he whispered, as the thermometer bobbed up and down.
Knowing he wasn't himself, Raven asked, "Sorry? For what?"
Hesitating only for a moment, he replied, "I'm sorry for being such a PAIN in the butt . ."
For a minute, Raven was a little caught off guard by his statement, and realized that maybe, he was a little more coherent than she thought. Unable to help it, a tiny grin spread over her face. Reaching out, she pulled the thermometer out of his mouth and said,
"You already ARE a pain in the butt. . ." Now she hesitated, rather disturbed to see that the temp still hadn't dropped. Earnestly gazing down at him she added, "BUT. . .I'd rather you be one well. . .than sick." Dipping the cloth back in the bowl, she then draped it back over his forehead. "So get better for me. . .Ok?"
Her heartfelt request caused B.B. to weakly smile up at her. "I'll see what I can do. . ."
Now his smile faded, and he gradually drifted off to sleep again.

(DOES THAT SOUND LIKE THEM? OR WHAT?!)

(And what's funny is, the next time you see, "Haunted," You're going to think of this picture as being an alternate ending.) I Know I do.
